Going to the book fair with your class and making note of the eight thousand books you want (as opposed to the two you’ll actually get), seeing them all out on the tables, comparing with friends—that’s the best part. Receiving/reading the books was great and all, but it’s that physical madness—all the possibilities—that really made the memories.
