President Ford signed Public Law 94-106 on October 7, 1975, permitting women to attend military academies for the first time.

Mom G., after I posted this to her FB wall: “You know Hoa was a Firstie (senior) the year women entered West Point. And Grandad helped admit that class. A great conversation for Thanksgiving! They have some great insight & stories.”
Yet another reason to be excited for Thanksgiving!
